DISTANCE AND VIDEO CONFERENCE LEARNING

Our Centre carries out interactive distance and video conference trainings.

Distance learning is a contemporary form of acquiring knowledge, based on opportunities offered by Internet. It is characterized as an open, flexible training, directed towards the individual needs of the trainee. The permanent contact between the trainers and the trainees represents an advantage of that type of training, thus making learning interactive. The trainer, called tutor has a major role, acting both as a manager and a consultant. He/she organizes and handles the training which includes: submission of learning materials, development of forms for individual work, consulting the trainees at different stages of their work. The tutor also elaborates an overall assessment of knowledge, which indicates to what extent the trainee has acquired certain competence, necessary for his work in the administration.

Distance learning is carried out on a tailor-made electronic platform. By using that platform the staff of the Ministry of Labour and Social Policy and the executive agencies thereto, receive training without having to leave the work place. The platform is administered by qualified staff of the Centre. The trainings offered are addressed to administration staff for acquiring competence necessary for carrying out their managerial or expert duties. Distance learning courses are aimed at improving the knowledge and skills for developing and applying the social policies and are also open to representatives of the central and regional administration, the social partners, municipalities and NGOs.

Currently the platform is used for specialized trainings of immediate interest for the practical job of servicing labour market clients. One of the courses, for example, concentrates on the requirements for working with jobless people, and especially on developing an individual action plan of an unemployed person.

The Centre has the necessary equipment for carrying out video conference seminars. These trainings are organized upon request and offer an opportunity for a real time fast and easy communication between trainers and trainees, that are located in different places, thus saving time and money. The standard methodology of face-to -face training is applied
