On 23rd and 24th of November in the Centre for Human Resource Development and Regional Initiatives a training course, titled “Statistical assessment of data and prognostication of the economic phenomena”, was successfully conducted.
In the course took part officials from the Ministry of Labour and Social Policy system, Executive Agencies at the MTSP, State Agency for Child Protection as well as representatives of the social partners – Confederation of Labour “Podkrepa” and Bulgarian Industrial Association, which in their daily work use date and statistical information.
The two-day curse had mainly practical orientation as for all practical exercises and assignments were used present data bases and were examined social economical phenomena that the participants face in their daily work, as for example the unemployment.
During the second day the participants were separated into two working groups having in this way an opportunity for individual work with the lecturer, which contributed for more efficient and effective assimilation of the material.
At the end of the course all the participants were examined by specialized test to determine the skills to work with statistical data and information and all of them passed it with excellent grades.
The training course on statistics gave a serious advantage to the participants since the theoretical base and practical skills, which they acquired, will facilitate and improve their daily work. Especially useful for them except the knowledge to present and analyze the data in appropriate format, was the ability to interpret this information properly.
In the opinion of the participants and more specifically the representatives of the Bulgarian Industrial Association the course was organized and structured in the best possible way so that after the theoretical part there was enough time to practice and in result they feel confident in their knowledge and ready to apply it in their work.
